Theft Of Timber
In the Hobart Police Court yesterday, be-
fore the Police Magistrate (Col. Clark), Detective-Inspector Fleming prosecuting,
Mervyn Sydney Price pleaded guilty to
having, at Hobart, on November 31, stolen
1,997ft. of timber, valued at £10, the property of Hay Smith . He pleaded guilty, and was fined £10.
Inspector Fleming said- he considered accused had been the tool of another man who on Saturday had been sentenced to Imprisonment for a year for having stolen three loads of timber belonging to the same owner.
