Hobart 'Mercury', 6 May 1903, reported James John BRADMORE arrested for attempting to break into the Formby Hotel with an axe. He was committed for trial.
In court on the burglary charge on 1 June 1903, James John pleaded guilty but begged the judge to treat it as a case of 'larceny' rather than the more serious 'burglary'. The judge agreed, and James John was given only a six months gaol term.
