Mr. A. G. Bennett
The funeral of Mr. Alan George Bennett, Long-
ford, took place at Carr Villa Cemetery on Tuesday. The rector of Longford (the Rev. F. L. Hadrill) officiated.
Chief mourners were Mrs. Elizabeth Bennett (widow), Messrs. Russell and Ken Bennett (sons) and Mr. Alex G. Ewington.
Mr. H. Goodger, manager of McHugh Bros.' potteries, represented that firm, by whom Mr. Bennett was em- ployed until ill-health caus- ed his retirement.
Mr. Bennett was the eldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bennett, North Motton. After leaving that district he resided at Preston and Launceston, and for the last three years at Long ford.
He is survived by his widow, two sons, Russell, of Riana, and Ken, of Melbourne, and one daughter, Brenda (Mrs. James).
Funeral arrangements were carried out by G. W. Hudson, Longford.
