The death occurred yesterday at his residence, 29 George-street, of Mr. Walter John Prosser, at the age of 75 years.
The late Mr. Prosser for many years was well known as an enthusiast in trotting circles and at one time raced a number of trotters himself including the speedy pacer Verawood and the trotter Valdee. Although he retired many years ago he still took a great interest up to the time of his death in the horses trained by his son, Mr. Arthur Prosser, of Launceston.
