without the consent of the person who hired his vehicle was adjourned till this morning

On the- suggestion of the P.M. Inspector Gill agreed to with draw the information against Arthur Prosser, a licensed cab driver, alleging
that ihe while under engagement to a customer had carried others in his vehicle. He explained that the most material witness was indisposed in Melbourne, and there was uncertainty as to his return. He would, as suggested, with-draw the charge, and lay a fresh information when opportunity offered.
