AN OLD COLONIST.
One more, has been added to the long list of departed old colonists by the death of Mrs. Elizabeth Reardon, at her homestead at the Green Hills, Forcett. The deceased arrived in Tasmania when quite a child. She was, I believe, tho oldest inhabitant of Pittwater, and had more grandchildren and great grand-children than any other woman in Tasmania, her oldest daughter being 65, and her youngest daughter 51 years of ago. Her husband (the late- Bartholomew Reardon) died many years ago, but until lately the old lady lived on the picture of health and strength. For the past few months, however, the powers of nature have become gradually exhausted, and the old lady, known through- out Pittwater as " Granny Reardon," is now numbered with the dead. Her remains wore interred it the Forcett Burial Ground on Thursday, the Rev. C, J. Brammall conducting the funeral service.
