BRIDAL BOUQUETS Langmaid-Walters. At the North Motton Methodist Church, on January 13, the marriage was celebrated of Gwendoline, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Walters, "Walbrook," North Motton, and Malcolm Charles, second son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Langmand, Ulverstone. The ceremony took place at 6 pm., and was performed by Rev. B. Crisp, of Ulverstone. The bride was given away by her father, and made a charming picture as she moved along the aisle. She wore a graceful gown of shell pink georgette made on long lines, with tight-fitting bodice, having a yoke of Chantilly lace, the waistline being fished with frills. The fully flared skirt was inlet with godets of Chantilly lace, and embroidered with clusters of orange blossom. A beautiful veil was held in position by a narrow wreath of orange blossom buds, and finished along each side with small sprays of the same flower. The veil was loaned by an aunt of the bride A sheaf of white gladioli, begonias, and maiden-hair fern tied with white satin ribbon completed the toilette.
Misses Kathleen Cope and Lillias Langmaid, who attended the bride as the bridesmaids, wore dainty ankle length ankle frocks of pale green and lemon georgette made with deep flounces. The necklines of both were finished with cowl collars, and at waistline narrow belts were fastened with diamante buckles. Large crinoline hats to match were worn, and each carried sheafs of gladioli and delphiniums tied with silver streamers. The sheafs were made by the bride's aunt (Mrs. E. Dwyer, of Launceston). Little Miss Sheila Lehman was maid of honour,' wearing a dress of blue georgette made in early Victoria style, and carried a beautiful white satin cushion, also the work of Mrs. Dwyer. The bridegroom was attended 'by Messrs. Gordon Langmaid and 'Harold Walters. Mrs. Walters (mother of the, bride) wore a smart frock of black crepe satin, relieved with touches of white. Her black hat of baku straw was trimmed with white, and she carried a posy of mauve scabrous. Mrs. Langmaid, the bridegroom's mother, wore a frock of wine Wool de Chine and hat to match, and carried a pose of wine coloured carnations. During the signing of tile register Miss Williams (Ulverstone) sang "O 'Perfect Love." After the bridal party had left the church the guests, numbering 100, were received in the local hall by Mr. and Mrs. Walters for wedding tea. On the centre of the bridal table was the three-tier wedding cake, which was made and decorated ,by Mrs. A. Allen (Ulverstone). Messrs. E. Langmaid and C. Saltmarsh performed the duties of ushers. The decorations at the hall were beautiful, and reflected credit on Miss Hannah Pickett, who was responsible. Miss L. Coleman presided at the organ.
