Amos (1809) Langmead who came out to Tasmania. Changed his name to Langmaid after serving his gaol time in Hobart Gaol.

He was sent out here for stealing,and arrived in Hobart in 8 Oct 1828. He came on the 'Bengal Merchant'..

When he was free and at his 1st marriage to Harriet Hill in 1836 he changed his name to 'Langmaid'.

Amos later started the 'Railton Lime works' in Tasmania, there now is a monument in his name there..

Later he married Hannah Hall in 1852.
