FINGAL
POLICE COURT.--In the Fingal
Police Court, before the Police Magistrate (Mr. F. N. Stops) on Tuesday,
Arthur Salter,of St. Marys, did not
appear to answer a charge of operating a wireless receiver without a licence.
Evidence was given by F. H. Stewart, wireless licence inspector, and defendant was fined £2/1/-, with 7/6 costs and 9/9 witness' expenses. Hilton Stewart Bushing, also of St. Marys, was charged with a similar offence. He did not appear, and after hearing F. H. Stewart's evidence the P.M. ordered
Bushing to pay a fine of £1, with 7/6
costs and 10/- witness' expenses. Mr. C. F. Johnson represented the Post MasterGeneral.
