When Claude Andley Figg and his twin brother Clyde Crawford were born on August 15, 1903, in Parattah, Tasmania, Australia, their father, Henry, was 68, and their mother, Lydia, was 40. He married Sarah Ann Schlothauer on January 25, 1932. They had seven children during their marriage. He died on December 15, 1988, in Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia, at the age of 85.
