Sarah Ann Schlothauer was born on November 12, 1912, in Blantyre, Lanarkshire, Scotland, the daughter of Sarah and Aloysius. She married Claude Andley Figg on January 25, 1932. They had seven children during their marriage. She died on June 4, 1986, in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, at the age of 73.
