MOTORIST FINED
Speeding During A.R.P. Rehearsal
In the Huonville Police Court yesterday
before Messrs A C Parsons and R H. K
Thompson JsP Inspector T H Nolan prosecuting
Mervyn Sydney Price pleaded guilty to
having on August 9 driven a motor-car on
the Huon Highway at an excessive speed
Trooper J M Gregory said Price drove his
car past the report centre during an A R P
rehearsal at a speed estimated at 45 m p h
Vehicles and bicycles were stationed near the
report centre and many children and pedestrians were in the street.
Price was fined £1 with 8/ costs
