He was sentenced to transportation for 7 years and left England on the Charlotte aged about 26 at that time (May 1787). He had no occupation recorded. on 20 March 1786 at Exeter, Devonshire, England. Hewas transported in February 1787 on the convict transport ship 'Charlotte' from England to Australia. He arrived 26 January 1788 on the convict transport ship 'Charlotte' in Port Jackson, New South Wales, Australia. Particulars of the Voyage: Portsmouth to Tenerife 13 May - 3 June 1787, Tenerife to Rio de Janeiro 10 June 1787 - 5 August 1787, Rio de Janeiro to Cape Town 4 September - 13 October 1787, Cape Town to Botany Bay 13 November 1787 to 20 Jan 1788. He lived on 27 January 1788 at Port Jackson, New South Wales, Australia. He departed Port Jackson, New South Wales, Australia, 15 February 1788 . Noah was part of the advance party of 23 people who sailed from Port Jackson on the 'Supply' on 15th February 1788 and arrived at Norfolk Island in March 1788 to settle that island; these were the first settlers on Norfolk Island. He lived there with Mary Cottle and James. He arrived Van Diemen's Land, Australia, 1 March 1808 with his wife, his son James and his father John.They arrived on the Lady Nelson. This was after Norfolk Island has been ordered to close. He lived in 1811 at Van Diemen's Land, Australia. He in 1813 was granted 170 acres near Lake Tiberas, Big Lagoon, Monmouth, Van Diemen's Land, Australia. By 1823 Noah had 800 acres and he and his son James became known for stealing sheep in the region. of Lake Tiberias, Van Diemen's Land, Australia. He married Ann Geary in 1824 at Big Lagoon, Van Diemen's Land, Australia. Convict Noah Mortimer lived circa 1833 at Van Diemen's Land, Australia. After Ann Geary was killed by aborigines, Noah left the land and moved to Glenorchy. He lived with a relative Susannah Mortimer and her husband James O'Brien. He died on 3 June 1846 at Van Diemen's Land, Australia, at age 85. He was buried circa 5 June 1846 at St. Matthews Cemetery, Hobart, Van Diemen's Land, Australia. He was buried as Nathanial Mortimer.
