William Henry Collier emigrated in 1879 from Holyhead, to Sydney, New South Wales, Australia on the ship 'Lusitania'.1 He lived in 1894 at Western Australia, Australia,William Henry Collier enters Western Australia in 1894. There is a report in the police gazette of him being wanted for sailing on a ship from Adelaide and not paying his fare. He is described as being of stout build and with sandy hair. This is the start of the gold rush days in the Murchison area. He is first employed as a driver of a steam train and as this is also the time that Fred Shepherd is also employed in this area as a train driver we can guess that this is how the families met.1 He married Susan Price in 1899; William had a partner at this time called Susan Price They never married as Mary Ellen was alive somewhere in U.K. He and Susan had three children all of who'm died at birth. There is an unnamed son, then two daughters, Susan and Julia. William Henry Collier died in 1910 at Victoria Hospital, Geraldton, Western Australia, Australia, In 1910 William Henry was admitted to the hospital in Cue suffering with "Dropsy" now known as oedema.. He was moved to Geraldton where three weeks later he died.1 He was buried on 9 August 1910 at Anglican Cemetery, Geraldton, Western Australia, Australia.
