Janetta was the wife of Ernest's cousin Edward Hodgetts.They always maintained that they were married, but this was impossible, as Janetta was still married to Edward. Janetta Wheeler died on 8 April 1940 at Benevolent Asylum, Cheltenham, Victoria, Australia, at age 81. She was buried on 10 April 1940 at Preston, Victoria, Australia.
