He married Beatrice May Williamson, daughter of Sarah Sophia Baker, on 2 July 1904 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Uralla, New South wales, Australia; Ceremony performed by Rev. Julius Lewis. Joseph Sydney Barwick died on 2 April 1916 at New South Wales, Australia.

     Wilfred Thomas Barwick was born in 1875.
