     Joseph Barwick was was a brewer. Joseph and Ann, with their four youngest children - William - Stephen - Elizabeth and Andrew, left London on the "James" on 3 October 1840 and arrived in Hobart on 15 February 1841. They settled at :Copmanhurst" Oatlands where Joseph was a brewer.
Their two eldest sons - Edward and Joseph, had arrived in Tasmania in 1837 on the "William Metcalfe" and had established themselves and their families at Oatlands. Their son Richard and his family came out in 1854 on the "Northumberland" followed two years later by Thomas and his family on the "Sir W.F. Williams".
James and his family decided to go to N.S.W. in 1840 and they settled at Uralla where James took up farming. John remained in England. He was baptized on 23 April 1783 at Woburn, Bedfordshire, England. He married Anne Graves, daughter of Thomas Graves and Elizabeth Shelvey, on 10 September 1806 at St. Martin's Church, Great Monegham, Kent, England. Joseph Barwick arrived at on the ship 'James' on 15 February 1841 in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. He died on 3 July 1863 at Great Mongeham, Oatlands, Tasmania, Australia, at age 80. He was buried circa 5 July 1863 at Oatlands Cemetery, Oatlands, Tasmania, Australia.

     Anne Graves was also known as Ann Barwick. She was born in 1784 at Kent, England. She married Joseph Barwick on 10 September 1806 at St. Martin's Church, Great Monegham, Kent, England. Anne Graves died on 17 June 1871 at 'Cold Blow', Oatlands, Tasmania, Australia, Died at the residence of her son Stephen. She was buried circa 19 June 1871 at Oatlands Cemetery, Oatlands, Tasmania, Australia.

     Joseph Barwick was baptized on 20 November 1808 at Kent, England. He married Elizabeth Pearce on 27 April 1833 at England. Joseph Barwick and family departed on the ship 'William Metcalfe' 8 October 1836 from London, England. He and family at on the ship 'William Metcalfe' on 24 January 1837 arrived in Hobart, Van Diemen's Land . Three died on the journey - Richard, Thomas and Elizabeth (Joseph's wife.) He married Mary Ann Hackett on 3 November 1838 at Van Diemen's Land, Australia. Joseph Barwick married Flora Mary Ann Jane Nevin Ralston on 29 August 1864 at 'Wallace', Oatlands, Tasmania, Australia; Ceremony performed by Rev. John Ison. Joseph Barwick died on 9 August 1875 at 'Wallace', Oatlands, Tasmania, Australia, at age 66 (His residence.) He was buried circa 12 August 1875 at Oatlands Cemetery, Oatlands, Tasmania, Australia.

     John Barwick was Gold and silversmith. John never emmigrated to Australia but remained in England. He was baptized on 16 January 1814.

     William left London on 3 October 1840 and arrived in Hobart on the 15 February 1841 on board the "James". He travelled with his father and mother, two of his brothers-Stephen and Andrew and one of his sisters-Elizabeth. They all settles at Oatlands. William Barwick was born in 1818 at England. He was baptized on 21 March 1818. He married Caroline Davis on 2 May 1849 at Parish Church, Oatlands, Van Diemen's Land, Australia; Ceremony performed by rev. W.Dry. William Barwick died on 18 June 1899 at Tasmania, Australia, at age 81.
