     Eliza Palmer Eliza and her husband William had left Somerset on board the 'Trafalgar' for a new life in New South Wales. Eliza was also pregnant, and gave birth to a son, William Charles, in January 1853 during the voyage. Eliza arrived in Sydney in March 1853 with her son,but without her husband.
