George was not the only Cracknell employed atCoogans, his brother William Cracknell, his sons Bernhard (Biffy) andPaul and daughters Jill and, Ann his nephews, Max and Alan Cracknell,were all employed at there at one-time or another. During theDepression George did roadwork.He was a keen gardener and receivedprizes for his chrysanthemums. However the family lived in Napoleon Street Battery Point as well.

Jemima's birth is recorded in the Mercury Newspaper 14 June 1860.¹ She was the daughter of Captain William Cracknell and Ann Williams. Jemima Cracknell lived in 1861 at Runneymede Street, Battery Point, Tasmania, Australia. She married William Benjamin Lewis, son of John Benjamin Lewis Schrader and Mary Ann Cracknell, on 1 August 1888 at St. George's Church, Hobart, Tasmania, Australia; William Benjamin LEWIS and Jemima CRACKNELL were first cousins. Jemima Cracknell died on 3 November 1948 at The Royal Hobart Hospital, Hobart, Tasmania, Australia, at age 88 Jemima died in the Royal Hobart Hospital 3 days after her son, Eric. Eric drowned at Dunalley.

Whereas you are minded so it is said to enter into a contract of marriage under the provisions of an Act made in the second year of the Reign of her Majesty Queen Victoria entitled ' An Act for regulating marriages in Van Diemen's Land and its dependencies' and are desirous that the same may be speedily and publicly solemnized and whereas youJohn Lewis has made and subscribed an affidavit before m ethat you believe there is no impediment of kindred or alliance or other hindrances or any suit commenced in any Ecclesiastical Court to ban the said marriage and that your usual place of abode for the space of fifteen days last past within the District of Hobart and that both of you are free and above the age of Twenty One years I do hereby grant unto you full license according to the authority on that behalf given to me by the said Act to proceed to solemnize such marriage andto the Deputy registrar of the District of Hobart to register such marriage according to law. Provided that the said marriage be publicly solemnized in the presence of Rev Frederick Miller within three calendar months from the Thirteenth day of August 1844 at the Independent Chapel Brisbane St between the hours of eight o'clock inthe morning and four o'clock in the afternoon.

     Robert Sydney Herbert Cracknell was born in 1887. He was the son of Robert Cracklin and Mary Ann Blades. Robert Sydney Herbert Cracknell died on 15 February 1888.

     Roy William Alexander Cracknell was born on 20 July 1916. He was the son of Alexander Cracknell. Roy William Alexander Cracknell died on 1 April 1997 at age 80.

     Suzanne Cracknell was born in 1948. She was the daughter of Roy William Alexander Cracknell. Suzanne Cracknell died in 1998.

     Sydney Albert Cracknell was born on 18 November 1887. He was the son of Robert Cracklin and Mary Ann Blades.

     Her married name was Piper. Thelma Melvina Cracknell married Bernard Harold Piper. Thelma Melvina Cracknell was born on 13 July 1920 at Tasmania, Australia. She was the daughter of John Cracknell and Isabel Maud Carter. Thelma Melvina Cracknell died on 24 December 1988 at Tasmania, Australia, at age 68.

     Captain William Cracknell Williams birth or baptism was not recorded, but in use applications for his Foreign Going Master's Certificate, he gave his birthday as 5 February 1823 and place as New Norfolk Tasmania. He was born on 5 February 1823 at New Norfolk, Van Diemen's Land, Australia. He was the son of Joseph Cracklin and Elizabeth Bailey. Captain William Cracknell married Ann Williams, daughter of Convict Thomas Wheller Williams and Frances Reardon, on 15 May 1847 at Brisbane Street, Hobart, Van Diemen's Land, Australia; Edward Lucas and William’s sister, Mary Ann Lewis, were witnesses.¹ Captain William Cracknell was Master Mariner. Whaler on 31 May 1858.² He died on 1 January 1891 at age 67.

William Cecil Lyall Cracknell married Millicent Lilian Carpenter on 1 January 1936 at Tasmania, Australia. William Cecil Lyall Cracknell died on 26 December 1998 at age 88.
