     Mary came to Australia on the "William Metcalfe" at the same time as the Barwicks, her name then being given as Mary Ann Haggett, alternatively Marianne Hackett. Mary Ann Hackett was born in 1811 at England. She married Joseph Barwick, son of Joseph Barwick and Anne Graves, on 3 November 1838 at Van Diemen's Land, Australia. As of 3 November 1838,her married name was Barwick. Mary Ann Hackett died on 2 July 1863 at Tasmania, Australia, Cause of death was Consumpyion.
