Convict John Ryan John was a convict on the First Fleet and was sent to Norfolk Island to help grow food for the colony. He did something comendable during the sinking of the 'Sirius' and was granted a pardon and land on Norfolk Island later he was assigned a convict servant Sarah Wooley and had a daughter with her. at Norfolk Island. He was born in 1767 at London, England. He was (an unknown value) on 14 January 1784 at The Old Bailey, London, England. He departed Australia 5 March 1790 John Ryan left Sydney on board the 'Sirius' bound for Norfolk Island to grow food for the struggling colony. He married Convict Sarah Woolley on 5 November 1791 at Norfolk Island they were probably married by the Reverend Richard Johnson when he visited the island in November 1791. They were probably living together by February 1791 when each was issued with a pig under Major Ross's scheme designed to encourage convicts to become self-sufficient. The couple lived on a 10 acre farm at Charlotte Field, Queensborough, where a daughter, Elizabeth was born in 1792. Convict John Ryan departed Norfolk Island 9 March 1793; John Ryan sailed from Norfolk Island on the "Kitty" for Sydney in

Australia. John Ryan was granted 30 acres of land to be know as Ryan's Farm situated on the banks of the Hawesbury River in the district of Mulgrave Place. The grant was signed by John Hunter the date being
01/01/1797 on 1 January 1797 at 'Ryan's Farm', Hawkesbury River, New South Wales, Australia. He died in 1805 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

Her married name was Pearson. Mary Ryan was born on 1 February 1796 at Mulgrave Place, Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia. She married John Pearson on 25 September 1815 at St Phillip's Church of England, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Mary Ryan died on 6 August 1825 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, at age 29.

Her married name was Standley. Sarah Ryan was born on 1 November 1800 at Pitt Town, New South Wales, Australia. She married Convict William Stanley on 20 April 1818 at St. David's Cathedral, 125 Macquarie Street, Hobart, Van Diemen's Land, Australia. Sarah Ryan died on 3 June 1854 at Piccaninny Gully, Bendigo, Victoria, Australia, at age 53.
