     Her married name was Walton. Hannah Unknown married John Walton, son of William Walton and Sarah Pratt, at England. Hannah Unknown was born between 4 April 1835 and 3 April 1836 at Knox, Shropshire, England. She lived on 3 April 1881 at 4 Black Friars Road, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, England.      Hannah (?) married Henry James Bidewell, son of James Bidewell and Hannah Woodbine. Her married name was Hannah Bidewell. Hannah (?) was born in 1829 at Great Ellingham, Norfolk, England.      Hannah (?) and John Cartland According to Fred Cartland her name was Lydia. This may have been a
confusion with son's wife. Their child was named Hannah. Hannah (?) Some sources refer to his wife as Lydia, which may have been a confusion with Lydia Allen, first wife of their son Joseph. Her married name was Cartland. She was born circa 1695. She married John Cartland circa 1720. Hannah (?) died circa 1730 at Dover, New Hampshire, USA.

as 1849. There is some uncertainty re. this birth date. Witnesses
listed are George Hannahs & Annetta G. Boggs. Her married name was Thompson. Her married name was Cartland. She was born on 7 May 1850 at Albion, Michigan, USA. She married Samuel Asa Cartland, son of Asa Samuel Cartland and Priscilla Godwin, on 21 September 1871 at South Haven, Michegan, USA; Pg. 62 of Van Buren marriages the record is found of Samuel A. Cartland to Ella L. Hannahs. She is listed as 22 yrs. which would make her birth as 1849. There is some uncertainty re. this. Witnesses listed are

     Louise E. Hannahs She is mentioned in letters between W.W. Cartland and Albert. Appears to
have lived in California during latter years and possible married again
when name was Nelson. Her married name was Lounsberg. She was born in 1856. She married Edward P. Lounsberg on 23 April 1887 at Van Buren, Michigan, USA. Louise E. Hannahs died in 1946.

P.415 Township of Bangor Methodist Episcopal Church 'There is
connected with the church a flourishing Sunday school of 100 scholars,
with the superintendent being C.C. Phillips and the librarian
F.W.Bidwell. 'P.534 South Haven 'Mr. Monroe made a village plat,*and
provided for a school lot.' footnote 'It is now embraced intheHannahs
plat of 1852.' P.535 'Marvin Hannahs was a native of Litchfield,Conn.,
and a tanner. He moved to Utica, N.Y., in 1831, and in 1837 to Albion,
Cahoun Co.,Mich., where he was largely engaged in lumbering and other
pusuits. He purchased land in Jericho, Geneva township, and erected the
first frame house at that place, and built a tannery. Land was purchased
at this place about 1850, and Capt. J.H. Hendryx, now of Decatur, and
Joseph Sturges were sent to South Haven, the former as business manager.
Mr. Hannahs platted the village in 1852. His son, George Hannahs,
became interested with his father, and came to South Haven in 1864 to
reside and take charge of the property. He was elected first president
of Albion, and also of South Haven. He was in the merchantile and
milling business for eight years, and opened a branch in Albion, which
was carried on for a few years.«»Hon. George Hannahs was elected tothe
State Senate November, 1870; delegate to the Cincinnati National
Republican Convention. He is a trustee of the Eastern Asylum at
Pontiac. His father, Marvin Hannahs, died Feb.7,1866, at Albion,where
he settled in 1853....' [1866 is wrong accordiung to a written by him in 9 1872] 'Mr. Hannahs had a house built, and Horace Thompson and his wife occupied it.' [This may refer to Henry Thompson and Ella Louise nee Hannahs] P.536 'February 1,1853, A.S. Dychmannand Joseph S. Wagoner arrived at South Haven with two wagons loaded with supplies. Mr. Wagoner was a carpenter, and the first work was to haul lumber from Hannahs & Sturges' mill, and to erect houses. They also built a company......' 'J.H.Davis made bricks here for the arch in Hannahs' mill in 1853, and afterwards started a brickyard.' P.539 Village of South Haven Presidents 1875-77 George Hannahs Village Plats. 'A village plat was laid out by J.R.Monroe in 1834, but the place declined, and the plat remained a waste of wild land. The first plat of the present village was made by Marvin Hannahs, and bears the date Feb. 18,1852.' 'The location and advantage of South Haven are
well given in an address of J.E.Bidwell, delivered in February,1873from
which the following is quoted: 'Commercially, South haven is favorably
