Mrs. Marion Thompson Lefe, 95, of 7 Elm Circle, widow of William Leafe, died Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 13, 1966. Mrs. Leafe had been in declining health for the past four or five years.
The body is at the Donaldson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2, o'clock at the fiuneral home. The Rev. Robert U. Holmes, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate and burial will be made in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Leafe was born Jan. 5, 1871, in Howick, Que., a daughter of Mr and Mrs. Robert Thomson. She attended schools in Montreal, and worked there prior to her marriage to Mr. Leafe Oct.10, 1900. In 1905, Mr.Leafe was made superintendent of the cable mill at Alcoa and continued int hat capacity until his death June 13, 1943.
Mr. Leafe had been previously married, and had tow sons, J. Albert and Harry Leafe. The second Mrs. Leafe bought these children up as if they were her own. They are both deceased. Surviving are two daughters-inlaw, Mrs. Grace Ding Leafe, Massena, and Mrs. Ruth Dodge Leafe, Badin, N.C; two grandsons, William Albert Leafe, Massena, andSidney Leafe,Cannonsville, N.C; two grandsons, William Albert Leafe, Massena, and Sidney Leafe, Cannonsville, N. C; three granddaughters, Mrs. Preston*Marion) Wells, Massena, Mrs Clarence (Edith) Rogers,Rouses Point,and Mrs. Ray (Margaret) Miston, Charlotte, N. C; 15great-grandchildren;one brother, Thomas Thomson, Huntingdon, Que.

Deceased had been a widow for 14 years, and was born at Campbelltown nearly 85 years ago (should be about 93 years).
She came to the Coast with her husband some 30 years ago, and prior to that resided at Campbelltown and Cressy. some six days prior to her death, she fell and sustained a broken left thigh, which injury brought about her demise. She was buried on 22 December 1931 at Ulverstone, Tasmania, Australia.
